Dr. Rudolf Churner, III was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from The University of Texas at Austin in 1974 and his Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. After completing his residency in ophthalmology at Scott and White Eye Institute in Temple, Texas, Dr. Churner moved with his family to McKinney, Texas where he opened his ophthalmology practice in 1982.
Dr. Churner is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. As a General Ophthalmologist, Dr. Churner performs catraract, refractive and laser surgery, treats patients with acute and chronic eye diseases including ocular infections, diabetes, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.
