Steven Reinecke, M.D.

After receiving top-notch training on both coasts of the country, Dr. Steven Reinecke has returned home to Texas to join Retina Specialists. Dr. Reinecke grew up in Keller and went to college at The University of Texas at Austin. He earned his M.D. with Alpha Omega Alpha honors from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Dr. Reinecke then spent a year on the west coast completing an Internal Medicine internship at The University of California Los Angeles Olive View. He came back to Dallas for his Ophthalmology residency at UT Southwestern. Following that, Dr. Reinecke spent two years on the east coast as a Vitreoretinal Surgical Fellow at Boston’s renowned Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Lahey Medical Center.

During his time in Boston, Dr. Reinecke trained using the most advanced techniques for treating Vitreoretinal conditions, including macular degeneration, epiretinal membranes, macular holes, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, and retinal detachments. Dr. Reinecke is Board Certified with the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Reinecke is passionate about what he does and strives to establish lasting relationships with his patients. In his free time, Dr. Reinecke enjoys cooking, watching Longhorn football, and spending time with his growing family.
