Dr. Dania Tassabhji is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist who is trained in the treatment and management of eye diseases. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas and a Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She was involved in several student optometric organizations throughout her academic career.
Her clinical rotations specialized in custom contact lens fitting, ocular pathology, and dry eye disease and management. She is highly trained in the co-management of LASIK, cataract surgery, and ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration.
Upon graduating, Dr. Tassabhji completed an internship at Key-Whitman Eye Center where she was able to observe different modalities of practice within the exam room and the operating room. She then transitioned into private practice and gained experience working at a private clinical setting with patients of all ages.
Dr. Tassabhji is excited to be joining Heritage Eye Center and is committed to providing quality eye care. Away from the office, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, working out, and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Tassabhji is board certified by the Texas Optometry Board. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and North East Texas Optometric Society.
